To ensure that equipment, staff and volunteers are ready when needed, the Charlie Randall Pet Foundation is participating in a FEMA monitored 9 County Earthquake Drill on June 5, 2012. This will be the first time that a pet disaster shelter and pet rescues and evacuations will be included in an official drill in Skagit County.
This is a training exercise. During the drill, we will be training volunteers in various aspects of running the pet disaster shelter. Activities will include security, traffic coordination, animal check-in, registration, communications, food distribution, set-up, etc. If you would like to volunteer to work at the evacuation shelter during this drill, please register below.
If you have already attended one of our Pet Handler or Emergency Vehicle Driver classes, you will be contacted via a separate email.
